The bond between twins is one of the strongest connections in the world. Whether they are identical or fraternal, twins share a unique identity. They share a special connection that goes beyond the typical sibling relationship. Many twins report feeling a sense of closeness and understanding with their twin that they do not experience with anyone else. This connection can manifest in various ways, including finishing each other’s sentences, sensing each other’s emotions, and even giving birth to children at the same time. Autumn Shaw and Amber Tramontana are perfect examples of this phenomenon.
The amazing connection between Autumn and Amber
Autumn Shaw and Amber Tramontana are twin sisters from Knoxville, Tennessee. The sisters have shared an unbreakable bond since childhood and have continued solidifying their connection into adulthood. They have shared many life experiences, including attending the same college, becoming registered nurses, and qualifying as nurse practitioners. They even had their first sons within ten weeks of each other.
In 2018, both sisters gave birth to baby boys ten weeks apart. While their sons were born with a gap, they had identical weights and lengths. But in 2020, they took their bond to a new level when they gave birth to their baby girls on the same day, their 33rd birthday.
One of the most memorable days of their lives
In 2018, when the twins gave birth to their boys, Autumn experienced labor first. Everyone anticipated that things would proceed similarly this time, but Amber was the one to experience labor first.

Both sisters were admitted to Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. And the same doctor, Dr. George Vick, delivered their babies. Baby Charleston, Autumn’s daughter, weighed in at 9 lbs., 4 oz., while baby Blakely, Amber’s daughter, weighed 7 lbs., 2 oz. The twins gave birth in adjacent rooms and witnessed the instant bond between their daughters.
The hospital shared the remarkable coincidence on social media by posting a photo of the sisters holding their newborns. They said in the post that double the sweetness and doubles the love. It was a special day there that week at Fort Sanders Regional when identical twins Autumn and Amber delivered their baby girls, Charleston and Blakely, within 90 minutes of each other. To top it all off, it was Autumn and Amber’s birthday.
It was not an easy journey for the twins.

The sisters’ journey to motherhood has not been without its challenges. After giving birth to their sons in 2018, Autumn suffered a miscarriage while trying to conceive her second child. However, the sisters soon discovered they were both pregnant again and due on the same day. Autumn said that they struggled with their miscarriage but knew that God had a plan for them. Amber had prayed for twins but believed that God still gave her a better way for her baby to have a companion.

The twins believe that their daughters will share the same unbreakable bond that they do. Autumn said that the two babies bonded immediately. She said the babies took to one another as they had already spent nine months in the womb together. The sisters were overjoyed to have their babies on the same day. Amber said that it was the birthday present that kept getting sweeter.
