A Quora user asked, “What is one moment in your life you thought could only happen in a movie?”
The narrative is from Kevin’s point of view. He is our protagonist. The story goes back to when Kevin was a 13 years old boy. He was at a summer camp in Michigan one time. All of a sudden, the prettiest girl he had ever seen walked up to him. The girl’s name is Katherine Blake. Spoiler alert- Blake is our protagonist’s love interest.
Giving a sweet compliment to Kevin, she said that black is a good color for him. What a conversation starter! The two then chatted and got to know each other. It did not take long for them to be close friends. They then exchanged their AIM screen names and parted ways, promising to stay in touch.
Over the years, their communication became less frequent. However, Kevin could not get Blake out of his mind. Not a day passed without him thinking of her.
During his senior year of high school, Kevin went through a tough time. His mental health suffered a lot, and he fell into a deep depression. It was so bad that Kevin did not want to live in this world anymore. Once he made this heart-wrenching decision, he wrote a note. Then he went to where he planned to end his life.
From now on, the story takes a dramatic turn, so brace yourself.
Right before Kevin ended his life, his phone went off. He checked caller 1D and recognized it was from an unknown number. He decided to answer it regardless.
Guess who it was- it was his favorite girl, Blake. Talk about timing!
Kevin was surprised. He asked her why she called. Blake said she just felt like calling him. What is strange is that at that point, it had been a year since they last spoke. It was a miracle that she felt like calling him right before he ended his life. Blake’s phone call saved Kevin.

Once Blake ended her relationship, Kevin eventually admitted to having feelings for her. Kevin went on to propose to Blake during a trip to Switzerland in 2016.
On September 17, 2016, the beautiful couple tied the knot in Marshall, Michigan.
