Homeless Dogs In Thailand Find Their Perfect Homes Under The Shelter Of The Billboards.

Homeless dogs, anywhere in the world, lead a sinful life. We all know that many suffer from hunger, thirst, bad weather, and various diseases due to not being taken care of. Anyhow, the situation depends on the country. Some countries are humane enough to provide the needed food and shelter. There are not-for-profit organizations that help them with their welfare. So, some of them are lucky enough to get the nutrition they need, at least.

This story is about stray dogs in Bangkok, Thailand. Thailand, a tropical country, has a hot climate, and sometimes the weather gets so harsh due to the extreme sunlight, especially in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. Animals and people suffer from bad weather conditions that are sometimes unbearable. It’s either too much sun or rain.

So, this is about the stray dogs in the city of Bangkok. These homeless gods have become lucky enough to get shelter from the billboards. As mentioned above, these animals are always prone to harsh sunlight or extreme rain. These bill boars have become one of the easiest and the best ways to provide them with some shelter during the most challenging weather conditions. It has created a bit of dry space for them. The homeless dogs have been able to sleep in a dry area away from heat and rain, all because of these billboards.

According to the records, about 200,000 street dogs are idling around Bangkok. These easily unfoldable platforms have created an excellent way for these homeless dogs to find shelter and keep safe from extreme weather conditions.

Thailand is another country with many stray or homeless dogs just idling along the streets. It sometimes becomes a threat to those who pass by. The project Stand for Strays is a great initiative to take care of these homeless dogs. It aims to fight the ever-growing stray dog population, which has become an issue in Thailand to a certain extent.

This great initiative was started by a doctorate student from Bangkok’s suburb. He is Pak Kret and stood out for the stray dogs. As part of the marketing campaign, the stand for strays provides shelter to street dogs. It protects them from the heavy heat and rain. It is straightforward in concept and very practical as well. They have made shelters out of billboards. These billboards would stand by the side of the road for some time, doing their duty as the marketing material and probably be trash. But this initiative has made it possible to maximize their use.

This attempt encourages the recycling of all the billboards. The recycled boards stand flat on the wall to not disturb the pre-existing landscape. These miniature billboards can stand anywhere in the town. So, it is movable and can be placed in areas with more homeless dogs.

When you look closely at these recycled billboards, they are easy to construct. Also, they are made to be moved anywhere in town. This has created a turning point in the lives of Bangkok’s stray or homeless dogs. These temporary shelters provide the dogs a much safer place to live during the harsh weather conditions. These places are dry, hygienic, and much better than where they used to live. The dogs can easily sleep and rest in a more relaxed atmosphere. The billboard shelters have enough space for the food trays as well. The volunteers and the neighbors can still give them food and water without getting it wet or spoiled.

These stand for stays and have a list of simple instructions for the passers-by. These shelters can be easily unfolded, and when anyone sees a stray dog, they can fix the refuge for that dog. When it is not in use, anyone can fold it and lay it across the wall so that the environment is much neater and cleaner.

Anyway, this is an act of kindness that anyone should applaud. The initiator should receive credit for this simple yet unique concept.
